It is inspired by the novels by Michael Crichton, and has grossed $4,998,557,380, making it the 8th-highest-grossing film series (and 11th-highest-grossing film franchise) of all time. The following are the 5 movies in the franchise arranged in order from “best” to “worst” according to the opinions of Rotten Tomatoes critics. I’ve previously made a list of The Jurassic Park Movies from Best to Worst – RT Critics, but it’s now outdated. I’ll keep the old one up for comparison.
Jurassic Park (1993)
91% – 8.31/10 (124 reviews)
Jurassic Park is a spectacle of special effects and life-like animatronics, with some of Spielberg’s best sequences of sustained awe and sheer terror since Jaws.
Jurassic World (2015)
72% – 6.66/10 (336)
Jurassic World can’t match the original for sheer inventiveness and impact, but it works in its own right as an entertaining — and visually dazzling — popcorn thriller.
Jurassic Park: The Lost World (1997)
54% – 5.61/10 (71 reviews)
The Lost World demonstrates how far CG effects have come in the four years since Jurassic Park; unfortunately, it also proves how difficult it can be to put together a truly compelling sequel.
Jurassic Park III (2001)

Jurassic Park III is darker and faster than its predecessors, but that doesn’t quite compensate for the franchise’s continuing creative decline.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom adds another set piece-packed entry to the blockbuster franchise, although genuinely thrilling moments are in increasingly short supply.
